St Joseph’s College Hunters Hill 1933.

First selected to the Australian Rugby Union side in 1938.

Also gained selection to the Wallabies for the tour of Britain and France, which was cancelled due to World War II.

Played a record 404 games for Adelaide City in the National Soccer League.

Represented Australia from 1987-1989.

Known as South Australia’s “Mr Soccer”.

Ron McKeon

Champagnat College Pagewood 1973-1978.

Successful swimmer who competed at the 1978 Commonwealth Games (winning three gold and one silver medal) the 1980 Olympics, 1982 Commonwealth Games (silver medal) and 1984 Olympic Games (as captain of the Australian Swimming Team).

John Mayes

Professional Rugby League player for Manly.

Selected to play in the World Cup in 1975.

Toured England, New Zealand, Wales and France wit other Kangaroos.

John Malone

St Joseph’s College Hunters Hill 1930.

Rugby Union player who began career with Drummoyne.

Debuted for NSW in 1935.

Toured wit the Australian team in New Zealand in 1936 and South Africa in 1937.

Served in the RAAF during World War II.

John Maguire

Trinity Catholic College Lismore 1968.

Cricketer who had successes against the West Indies, taking 6/48 in one test at the Gabba and 4/57 in a test at Kingston.

Played three tests total, with a bowling average of 30.20.

Peter Macken

Marcellin College Randwick 1954-1956.

Gained selection for the Australian Olympic team in Pentathlon event in the 1960, 1964, 1968, 1972 and 1976 Olympic Games.

Second Australian to compete at five Olympics.

Additionally competed in fencing at the 1968 Olympics.
