Talented soccer player who competed in Australia, Belgium, France, Italy and England.

A major player for the Australian National team, selected to the Socceroos a total of 37 times and scored 11 goals.

Named Oceania Footballer of the Year in 1988.

Inducted into the FF Hall of Champions in 2001.

Appointed as coach of the Socceroos, 1999-2005.

Appointed to the inaugural National Indigenous Advisory Group of Football Australia in 2021.

Awarded Medal of the Order of Australia in 2000 for service to soccer as a player and coach.
