Judge Nathan Jarro

Marist College Ashgrove 1990-1994.

Served as a member of the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Council (2008–2010).

Served on the QUT Council (2008 – 2012).

Served as President of the Indigenous Lawyers Association of Queensland Inc (2007–09)

Was an editorial member of the Indigenous Law Bulletin (2007–2011)

Served as the Bar Association of Queensland President's Nominee for the Australian Bar Association's Indigenous Issues Committee in 2016.

Appointed a judge of the District Court of Queensland on 26 March 2018, Queensland’s first Indigenous judge.

Named the 2020 QUT Alumnus of the Year and the recipient of the 2020 QUT inaugural Indigenous Alumnus of the Year.
