2 January 2017, a third Marist Century begins

On 2 January 1817, Marcellin Champagnat welcomed the first two young men into a house that he had rented and refurbished in the town of La Valla.  This date is celebrated by the Marist Brothers as their Foundation Day.  Later that year, the Brothers began to teach the children of La Valla, so 2017 is the first year of the third century of Marist education.
